In 1896, our company – C D de Fonseka & Sons PVT Ltd, began as a family business: a tradition handed down over generations. While it continues to be so, the company has grown immensely in scope and strength. A pioneer and one of the oldest toddy (SAP) vinegar manufacturers in Sri Lanka best known for our innovative introduction of making vinegar from coconut water, today, we manufacture a range of products for leading companies on the island. And we export to several continents across the world.

Our horizons have also expanded to include successful operations in three distinctive fields: manufacturing, Food processing and estate management: C D de Fonseka & sons today have taken on a role as a parent company to three different companies which were born during the course of 120 years:

Participated in the All Ceylon Industries Exhibition
1924
The British Empire Exhibition Award of Appreciation was given to our founder – Late Mr. C.D.de. Fonseka
1991
Received grant of Patent for manufacture of natural vinegar from Coconut Water
1994
Obtained membership of the Vinegar Institute –USA

Awarded the Sri Lanka Standards Institution Certificate –SLS 168
